Whether you are a high level athlete, weekend warrior, or work in an office, therapeutic massage has a benefit for you. Therapeutic massage focuses on much more than just relaxation. It is used to focus on specific problems that you may be having. These types of problems include muscle pain, muscle tightness, and movement impairments.

One-on-One Personal Training

Personalized training focusing on each client’s strength deficits, and individualized needs.

Functional Movement Screening

The FMS was designed to capture fundamental movements, motor control within the movements, and  competency of basic movements. It will determine the greatest areas of movement deficiency, demonstrate limitations or asymmetries, and eventually correlate these with an outcome.

Functional Capacity Screen

The FCS forms the transition between movement competency and specific skill development, allowing you to identify movement problems, capacity problems, and skill based problems.  We then address them individually through targeted programming decisions.

Performance Enhancement Training

The final step for specific skill development for athletes wanting to take their performance in their sport(s) of choice to the next level after graduating the FMS and the FCS.

Kinesiology Taping

How does it work? This tape microscopically lifts the skin away from the muscle and fascia below, creating a decompression effect. The tape can help relieve pain, swelling, and help increase body awareness for better postural control.

About the Therapist

Hello, my name is Rachel Knepp, and I am the sole operator and owner of Massage & Fitness, LLC. My background consists of working for four years as a Physical Therapist Assistant, a degree that I achieved at Vincennes University. I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist and a certified myofascial therapist after graduating from the Body Therapy and School of Massage just outside of St. Louis, MO. Lastly, I have recently acquired the training to become a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

I have accomplished a certification in Myofascial Trigger Point therapy through Myopain Seminars in Washington, D.C. I have been trained in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, and kinesiology taping through RockTape. Also, I have training in myofascial cupping, and have been trained in Functional Movement Screens and Functional Capacity Screens. I am also trained in performance enhancement training for athletes, and injury prevention training for athletes.

I am an avid fitness fanatic, and muscles are my passion. Whether in massage or in the gym I have been fascianted with all they are capable of since I was in school. I am very passionate about sports, especially volleyball and softball. I have coached junior high volleyball for four years, and have recently begun coaching girls high school volleyball. Outside of sports and work you can usually find me with my family or friends or petting a dog somewhere. I am very excited to be starting this business in Washington, and look forward to working with you.
